In today’s world, are you aware that your website health is related to the performance of your business? If your answer is no, worry not; here I will explain a few things with regards to the above question, and subsequently write on more articles on how that could be achieved.

Though many companies now use social media sites for marketing, the basis for your business’s digital presence still solely depend on a superbly created and well-maintained website. A well planned and maintained site doesn’t only serve as a marketing tool for your business but more importantly gives your business credibility.

Yet for many entrepreneurs and business owners, because web development is not their area of proficiency, a website is often a case of mixed priority or neglected altogether. Consumers though nowadays are more knowledgeable and are always exploring for newer products and services online. If your website can’t be easily found for common keyword searches or yet you don’t have a website; You are missing on new customers and letting money slip through your fingers.

It is vital to have a website, but not only a website. What do I mean by that? Website yes, but it need not only serve your digital presence. Once the consumers have found you, you have to be able to lure them to stay on your website, engage with your content and drive them to request more information.

Let me abruptly stop with the story telling, I believe I have given a short background on website health above but the main thing is if the “liveliness” of your website is not of priority to you then you are losing on business. Even worse, not to be a doomsayer in today’s world it will Ultimately catch up with your business.

3. Have and maintain a website blog

4. Set clear measurable goals that correlates with your business goals.

6. Regularly use a heatmap like hotjar to understand how users move throughout your site.

7. Security -utilize tools such as an SSL certificate
